Fish and I are really fond of the Aztec cocoa at the Porter Square Books coffeeshop. It's a not-too-sweet cocoa with cinnamon and a zing of spice. Tonight, I just had an urge to create . . . more

Describe Yourself:A young 50ish, intense honey-brown eyes, greying curly brown hair that used to be red and skin to go with the red hair. Built like a steppes pony -- compact and powerful and chunky. A formerly single mom of a wonderful teenage nerdy son, engaged to a professional magician. A deep ecumenist mystic. A systems thinker. On the Internet for over 25 years; blogging since 2002.

On Gather, I'm Looking For ...:connections. I would love new ideas, coffee, more friends, intellectual stimulation, pin money. Email me at shava -at- efn.org if you'd like to do coffee sometime, if you're local to Boston.

Favorite Books, Writers, Genres:too many. Most recently, I have really enjoyed, and have re-read several times, Dewey's Education and Democracy. Currently reading Lewis's Lives of a Cell, and trying to get my son to fall in love with it. My reading is broad and eclectic. Current reading also includes Red Mars series, and Italo Calvino's If on a winter's night a stranger., The good ones. Hmmm... Most influential might include Mircea Eliade and Chogyam Trungpa on spirituality. Barbara Kafka is one of my fave cookbook authors. More later.

Thought I would let you know that I just posted a link to your comments on intangibles and the financial crisis. I do a lot of work and writing about similar themes. Happy to open a conversation if it makes sense for you.
